Alexei BOBRUSOV

Born in 1954 in Moscow, Russia
1972 — finished V.I. Surikov Moscow high school for artists
1972-1974 — student of the Correspondence University of Arts
1975-1980 — student of the Institute Printing and Graphic Arts. Professors: A.D. Goncharov, A.V. Vasnetsov
1980 — trip to Altai to gather material for creative work
1981 — trip on commission of the Moscow Committee of the Young Communist League (YCL) to the Tyumen Region,
                town of Nadym and settlements in the Ob gulf
1984-1986 — USSR Union of Artists scholarship holder
Since 1985 — Union of Artists member
1982-1989 — worked at the etching studio of the artists work and rest home in Senezh and in Cheliuskinskaya and Tarusa
1985 — trip to Georgia on commission of the USSR Union of Artists
1987 — trip on commission of the YCL CC to the Tersky Bay, the cities of Murmansk, Archangel and to the Solovetski Monastery
1988 — trip to France with a group of artists
1990 — participated in the “Artistes a la Bastille” association festival, Paris (France)
1992 — contributed to the “20th-Century Still Life” album. Moscow Palette gallery, Moscow (Russia)
1993 — work on the “Suburb” (Prigorod) album in the colour autolithography technique for the Moscow Palette gallery,

2019 – work on the My Friends from the Village of Butkovo cycle of paintings;
– master class in etched bookplates printing at the 8th Daghestan Book Fair “Tarki-Tau 2019”, Makhachkala (Russia).

2019–2020 – residence at the Centre International des Arts and work on the Nature morte et nature vivante cycle of graphic works, Paris (France).

Member of Moscow, Russian and international exhibitions since 1979. Engaged in painting and graphics.
